Dewars Fitness FAQs

FITNESS CLASSES AND GYM

When will the new facilities open?

The new gym and fitness facilities will open from Ssturday 21st Septmber at 11:00.

What type of equipment will be on offer in the new gym?

This development will see the Strathearn Hall at Dewars transformed into a 100+ station fitness gym with a comprehensive range of cardio, resistance, strength, and functional training equipment. This will replicate our previous offering at Bell’s Sports Centre that was proving popular prior to the flooding.

I enjoyed using the Go Series Equipment. Will you still have this?

Yes, Matrix will be providing all new gym equipment including the revolutionary Go Series which provides the perfect starting point for those looking to dip their toes into the world of strength and circuit training. With minimal adjustments, low starting weights and smaller progressions, anyone can quite simply sit and go!

What classes will be on offer?

There will be two dedicated group fitness studios offering classes such as Yoga, Pilates, BodyPump and Group Cycling. In addition, we will have a functional training space in the gym providing a great area for functional fitness classes.

Will the class programme at Dewars be the same as it was Bell’s Sports Centre?

Rest assured all your favourites will be included and we'll return our popular gym-based classes.  Our class programme will be under constant review and will be adapted as required.

I currently attend Bell’s for Fitness classes. What will happen when Bell’s closes?

Our fitness classes will move to Dewars Centre from Saturday 21st September. Our fitness classes at Bell's Sports Centre, finish on Friday 13th September.  Therefore there will be a week where we wont have any class provision.  We apologise for the inconvenience but look forward to welcoming you to Dewars very soon.

Will you still be offering group cycling classes?

Yes, group cycling classes such as Spin Fit and Les Mills RPM will be included on our class programme.
